How come when you look through the lense of a bulls eye it magnifys it??????????/?

Ok. Here's my problem. I had to do a bull eye disection for school and i had to do an assigment on it. When you look through the bulls eye through a hole in the bnack of it, it magnified the small newspaper print i was looking at. can someone tell me why.

It has to do with the fact that the bull's eye was round in shape. The eye portion that you were looking through was a convex shape. It's kind of like a magnifying glass.





It all has to do with the shape of what you are looking through.
